Chrisrian United For Israel

When people talk about the refugees from Israel’s 1948 War of Independence, they almost always talk about the approximately 700,000 Palestinian refugees.

They almost never talk about the 800,000 Jewish refugees forced from their homes as a consequence of this war.

That’s right, after Israel dared to fight back and survive this 1948 Arab attack, 800,000 Jews were forced from their homes throughout the Middle East, from Morocco all the way to Iran.  These ancient Jewish communities predated the birth of Islam.  Most of them no longer exist.

Yet most people have never heard of these Jewish refugees.  No one remembers their loss. No one tells their stories.

No one told their stories, until now.

The Mizrahi Project

Now CUFI is telling their stories through our new initiative, The Mizrahi Project.  Through the Mizrahi Project we are making powerful videos with these refugees and their descendants to share their stories with our members and the world.

Please visit The Mizrahi Project website to see the videos we’ve produced to date. And please stop back to visit often as more videos will be released down the road.

We think you will enjoy meeting these Middle Eastern (“Mizrahi”) Jews.

You’ll be inspired by their resilience, by their dedication to building a future of hope.

You’ll be moved by their ability to forgive and by their dreams for peace.

And you’ll be empowered to respond the next time someone brings up the Palestinian refugees, as if somehow they were the only ones to suffer from the Arab war to destroy Israel.

Blessings to you and those you love,
