
Bryan Adams, Duran Duran, Nick Cave Latest to Announce Israel Concerts
The list of front-line performers slated to rock Israel in 2017 is becoming longer on an almost-daily basis.
Israel’s cultural calendar for the coming year is getting crowded as three more legendary musical celebrities announced performances in Israel in 2017.
The British band Duran Duran will give a concert in Israel this summer, preceded in March by Canadian rock singer Bryan Adams. Australian singer-songwriter Nick Cave announced that he will perform in the Jewish state for the first time since 1998.
Duran Duran was scheduled to appear in Israel in 2011, but canceled the gig, in addition to the rest of its European tour that year, due to problems with lead singer Simon Le Bon’s vocal cords.
Adams was slated to perform in Tel Aviv and Jericho in 2007 as part of the OneVoice Movement concert series in an attempt to help moderate the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but the event was called off due to security concerns.
